  • CAA is an all volunteer, grassroots animal advocacy organization. Nobody gets paid, there are no overhead costs and we spend very little money, but we are making a big impact.

  • CAA's DAA's (Daily Action Alerts) are so easy! They should only take a minute or two to accomplish, but they can help the animals immensely.

  • Chicago's law states that carriage horses are only allowed to work 6 hours in a 24 hour period, yet CAA has witnessed many being overworked on a regular basis, sometimes by more than double what the law allows.

  • Chicago's law states that carriage horses cannot work if the air temperature is 90 degrees F or greater (taken from the temperature at Northerly Island) yet CAA has documented many horses being worked when it's too hot.
